Terms of Service (AGB)

§1 Scope

These General Terms and Conditions (AGB) apply to all services provided by BelegBlitz ("the Service"), a GDPR-compliant receipt management platform. By creating an account, you accept these terms.

§2 Service Description

BelegBlitz provides:

  • Automated receipt scanning from email accounts via IMAP/OAuth
  • OCR text extraction (local Tesseract and optional cloud AI)
  • Bank statement upload and transaction matching
  • Export to accounting software (DATEV, BMD)
  • GDPR-compliant data management with audit logging

§3 Account & Registration

Users must provide a valid email address and a password of at least 10 characters. Each user is responsible for maintaining the security of their account credentials. Accounts are personal and may not be shared.

§4 Free Tier & Billing

BelegBlitz offers a free monthly allocation of processing tokens. Additional tokens can be purchased. Prices are displayed in EUR including VAT where applicable. Payments are processed via Stripe.

§5 Data Processing & Privacy

Data processing is governed by our Privacy Policy. Users can choose between local OCR processing (no data leaves the server) and optional cloud AI processing (requires explicit consent). Data retention follows Austrian BAO (7 years) or German AO (10 years) requirements.

§6 User Obligations

Users agree not to upload illegal content, attempt unauthorized access, or use the service for purposes other than receipt and invoice management. Users are responsible for ensuring they have the right to process any documents they upload.

§7 Liability

BelegBlitz is provided "as is". We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for data loss caused by user error or force majeure. Our liability is limited to the amount paid by the user in the 12 months preceding the claim. This does not affect mandatory consumer protection rights under Austrian or German law.

§8 Termination

Users can delete their account at any time via Settings. Upon deletion, all personal data is removed in accordance with GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure). Archived receipts subject to legal retention obligations (BAO/AO) are retained for the configured retention period.

§9 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms. Users will be notified of material changes via email. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

§10 Applicable Law & Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Austrian law. For consumers, mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country of residence apply. The place of jurisdiction is the competent court at the registered office of the service provider, unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
